Practimax’s digital transformation began in 2013 when EP Digital supplied its first Durst press and supported the move into digital production. Through system selection, installation, training and long-term engineering support, EP Digital helped turn each investment into dependable production capability and a platform for continued growth.
After more than a decade of growing its digital capability with EP Digital, Practimax invests in its fourth Durst machine.

Practimax began in 1999 with three employees, one rotary press and the ambition to become one of Malaysia’s leading label manufacturers.
Today, more than 100 people produce millions of self-adhesive labels for multinational companies and recognised retail brands. Its facility runs 24 hours a day, manufacturing paper, film and foil labels, booklet instruction labels and identification tags.
The business serves food, cosmetics, household, personal care, pharmaceutical, chemical and electronics markets.

The transformation
From conventional to digital.
Practimax became the first company in Malaysia to adopt the Durst Tau 330 digital UV inkjet press.
Before that investment, the business operated entirely with conventional flexographic printing. After installation, digital label work grew to as much as half of production.
Jobs that once required plates, films, colour preparation and hours of setup could move into production far faster.

Practimax acquired its first three Durst systems through EP Digital and installed a fourth in late 2025.
EP Digital provides trained technical support around the clock, with engineers able to attend the customer’s facility when assistance is required.
The company nearly doubled its facility from 13,000 to 24,000 square feet and continues to see digital printing as a key part of its future.
